Whitley hall hotel wedding photography

Bryony and Robert

As an ivy-clad 16th century mansion located amongst 20 acres of stunning gardens and woodland it’s an absolute pleasure to capture Bryony and Roberts Whitley Hall Hotel wedding photography. The sun was out in it’s full glory and made for a super day of celebrations.

Formerly known as the Launder House, Whitley Hall Hotel is full of unique character. It provides a stunning and complementary back drop for any event but especially stunning for a wedding. The Thomas Parker suite was named after the owner who, with his son William, rebuilt the Launder House to become what is now known as Whitley Hall Hotel.

Sealed with a Kiss

Bryony hung her dress in the window of the bridal suite. Her dress was an intricate creation from Pronovias which the light shone through showing the dresses delicate lace design. Bryony completed the dress with a sparkly diamante belt and a large array of dusky pink roses amongst her bouquet.

Once Molly and Lauren, the bridal party’s make up artist and hair stylist, had arrived the bride and her bridesmaids began to feel at ease. With the careful application of natural make up and hair so carefully arranged the bridal party took shape. All were calm yet full of smiles and excitement.

Robert and his groomsmen were dressed in Armani suits and looking very dapper indeed with shoes from Russell and Bromley. They polished off their impeccable outfits with flowers to match the bride’s purple and dusky pink, rose filled, bouquet from Monica F Hewitt.

The wedding guests gathered in their seats ready for Bryony’s entrance. Every head turned as she glided down the isle and watched her effortlessly make her way towards Robert.

I captured Robert sending Bryony a cheeky little wink of reassurance during their exchange of vows. Having then been declared ‘Husband and Wife’ Bryony gave a huge and happy cheer with arms stretched wide. They kissed and grinned the biggest smiles I’ve seen in a while, plus a few happy tears from close relatives!

Just the two of us

Managing to prise the bride and groom away from their guests for some great shots amongst the grounds was tricky. Everyone wanted to congratulate them and rightly so.

However, once in the depths of Whitley Hall Hotel’s grounds we found some perfect locations to capture and add to their wedding photography album. Bryony and Robert were naturals, blessed with photogenic faces, their photos speak volumes. Some of the grounds are so busy and colourful, yet feel incredibly serene.

Capturing these moments is so special for both our couple and myself. It makes wedding photography worth every beautiful moment.

Upon returning to join their guests, I caught sight of one of the adorable flower girls pretending to be the bride. She was joined by the page boys who happily posed for a quick photo in-between looking for more bubbles to play with!

The Whitley Hall Suite – The Reception

After the vows the guests enjoyed a glass of champagne whilst enjoying the sun shining throughout the landscaped grounds. Many of the guests sharing conversations of hilarity which kept our bride and groom laughing. Not a moment lost around their fabulous guests.

There is a fabulous shot you can see below from above the grounds which captures perfectly our wedding party just before they entered back inside for the reception.

The grooms speech was great and had many shedding an emotional tear as well as rounds of applause.

Their naked rustic style wedding cake stood three tiers high with complementary flowers matching the brides bouquet and grooms buttonhole. Simple, yet very effective and tying in brilliantly with the natural theme of the day.

All in all a wonderful wedding for Bryony and Robert.

To me, wedding photography is about showing the day for its true moments. No pre-planned or posed shots, unless requested, just pure, natural pictures.

I hope you enjoy this collection of Whitley Hall Hotel wedding photography – also a special thank you to Melissa over at Melissa Maloo Photography for shooting this gorgeous wedding with me.
