Gina and Dean

Such a pleasure to capture Gina & Dean’s special day at Thornton Manor which is such an exquisite venue for wedding photography. Our splendid couple Gina & Dean and their stunning ushers and bridesmaids began the day happily relaxed, all sharing lots giggles.

The groom and groomsmen, all suited and booted in their blue suits and crimson ties from Swarbricks Suit Hire & Bridal, arranged their button holes and adjusted their hair just in time to enjoy a pint before the formalities began. All the bridesmaids helped our bride into her beautiful Sottero and Midgley dress. Gina had a handmade lace top overlay which was custom made by Michaela at Measured and Made.

Charlotte Mills shoes completed her look beautifully. Punched into the sole of her shoes was the famous wedding quote of, ‘Something old, Something new’, along with an actual sixpence! The bridesmaids gave Gina the thumbs up after checking her over for perfection. They gathered their colourful mixed-rose bouquets, by Jennie at Liberty Lane Flowers, and proceeded to the Dining Room for the nuptials.

The Ceremony

As Dean waited calmly and patiently for Gina to arrive, his best man was on hand to calm his nerves. Watching Gina float down the isle was magical and not a dry eye could be seen when their vows were exchanged.

The elegant décor of the Dining Room really does stand out against the natural window lighting which is especially highlighted in the sunshine. When the sunlight shines through the floor to ceiling bay window it perfectly enhances the guests view of the altar. This perfect lighting makes for stunning Thornton Manor Wedding Photography.

Thornton Manor is truly a venue which can be tailored for both modern & traditional style, and seems to adapt beautifully.

Gina and Deans outdoor pictures are captured in and amongst the grounds. I love that the grounds allow me to catch the still and tranquil lake, its grounds gorgeous secluded spots and also the open countryside views.

Speeches & Dutch courage

Surrounded by beautiful grounds, perfect blue skies and many smiling and laughing faces, it was time for the formalities.

The drinks reception was in full flow and String Infusion played a selection of excellent electrical string compositions. These compositions were from today’s pop charts as well as some traditional classical music which was combined well to entertain the guests.

Gina and Dean’s caterer, Anne Wilson, provided exquisite food that filled the room with an almost edible atmosphere, absolutely divine!

The father of the bride’s speech had most in tears and the groom received the hugest ear to ear grin from his new bride. The best man read his speech on his phone and took a swig of Dutch courage mid speech. His speech resulted in eruption of laughter from many of the guests which continued into evening celebrations.

Dancing hand in hand

DJ Steve Lewis, from Ice Entertainment, played a timeless, first-class, array of music which the guests danced all night to. Bride and Groom danced lovingly together and in a huge group with their guests throughout the evening. The guests laughter and thorough enjoyment was very much present on the dance floor and during the whole day.

Guests were having a ball right to the end of the evening and they never stopped enjoying every moment.

To me, wedding photography is about showing the day for its true moments. No pre-planned or posed shots, unless requested, just pure, natural pictures.

I hope you enjoy this collection of Thornton Manor Wedding Photography.
